Hi there. I'm Gina Bettelli, Senior Artist for MAC Cosmetics. Today, I'm gonna show you how to get the Catwoman look. This look involves a mask so it's very important that you prep the skin really, really well. So let's get started. So I'm using a black eye pencil called Smolder and I'm just going in on the inner rim of the eye to create a really beautiful, kind of smoky shape, and I'm just buffing up the edges, giving that smokiness without taking over the eye. Okay, so now that you've got this kind of base smoky eye, you can start to layer in. I have a nice neutral eyeshadow palette here. This gives a little more intensity. We're gonna add some black eyeshadow just [unknown] outer corners just to give you a little more of a contour to the eye. I'm just gonna add a little bit of a highlight so it just opens up the eye a little bit. So now is the fun part of creating the mask.
I'm gonna do a little bit of work with some tape beforehand just to tape out our shape and I'm just taking it along the edge of the tape here just to mark my shape. So I'm using Blacktrack Fluidline, great for masks because it doesn't move and you have a little bit of playtime before it dries down so you can blend things out and get a really nice edge. What I'm doing now is I'm starting to create the underside of the mask under the eyebrow and I think my best advice with this is to just follow your eyebrow shape. Okay, so now that I've kind of gotten my shape down, I'm gonna take off this tape. I'm just going to use the precision of this brush to get some really beautiful graphic lines and again there's no science in the amount of distance I'm using for each one of these kind of boxy lines. I'm really just relying on the width of the brush. Okay, once you're satisfied with your shape, I'm just gonna cover the mask using the Paint Stick so that it got that nice effect of a patent leather mask. So any edges that might feel like they're not clean or they're little smudgy, this is an oil-based remover. It's called Gently Off Eye and Lip and it cuts through these tenacious product so you just get a really razor sharp clean edge. The last touch with the mask is to add a little bit of white to give the illusion of a shine or that patent leather effect. Once you're satisfied with that, the only thing left really is the lips. I'm gonna start out with the lip pencil. I'm gonna slightly overdraw the lips because I think that's what Catwoman would do and we'll just take a lipstick on top of this just to tweak the color a little bit. All right, so sexy lips need some clear lip gloss. It's so beautiful against the skin being a bit more matte and that the mask looking a bit more patent leather. Gorgeous. All right, Catwoman.
